Alexandra Salazar, CPC, MA, is the Vice President of Business Development and Marketing of PNS. As a healthcare executive with over 23 years of experience in the Florida healthcare market, she has accrued extensive experience in Medicare and Medicaid, medical risk management, MRA/HCC reviews, network development, project management, and provider relations. She upholds a proven track record and strong performance in a high-volume and high-pressure environment. Her tenacity and accomplishments have made her well-versed throughout all her contributions at PNS.
Alexandra joined PNS as Director of Contracting & Provider Services in 2014, where she formalized departmental policies and procedure, departmental standard operating procedures, solidified critical partnerships to help enhance the departments output to external clients and expanded the networks statewide. In 2017, she was promoted to Director of Business Development. During her time in this role, she streamlined the department’s processes and centralized the communications for new business implementation among various departments, this resulted in 18 new contracts over a 5-year period and $156M in revenue.
She has managed independent physician practices, as well as taught medical billing and coding at a vocational institution. She served as the Manager, Network Development, South Florida Region, of WellCare from 2011 to 2014 and as a Network Management Representative from 2009 to 2011.
Alexandra holds a Certified Professional Coder degree through the American Association of Professional Coders and Business Analytics Certification from Harvard Business School. She obtained a Bachelor of Healthcare Services Administration and Master of Administration and Management from Barry University in Miami, Florida.
